Aida Aslanova, head of the Wikipedia group at the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, took part as a coach in an event jointly implemented in the direction of eliminating gender inequality in Wikipedia, based on the Communications and Digital Media Program of the University, together with Embassy of Sweden in Baku, ADA University and Wikimedia Azerbaijan Volunteering Department.

The goal of the event, which took place on the eve of March 8 as part of the Wiki Gap project, was to increase the number of women represented on Wikipedia and make the Internet a more gender-equal network. As a result of the training conducted by Aida Aslanova, students learned how to create articles using complex and basic Wikipedia tools, upload photos to Wikimedia Commons, and correctly and massively enter information into the Wikidata database.

At the end, A. Aslanova was presented with a diploma from the Ambassador of Sweden in Azerbaijan.
