The next meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Institute of Geography named after acad. H.A. Aliyev ANAS.

The General Director of the Institute, Doctor of Geographical Sciences Zakir Eminov congratulated the members of the Council and the staff of the Institute on the upcoming Novruz holiday, the favorite national holiday of our people, and wished our country and people great success, peace, prosperity and revival of Karabakh.

Bringing the agenda items to the attention of the meeting participants, Z. Eminov noted that in a number of countries November 10 is celebrated as Science Day, and in Azerbaijan - March 27. In this regard, the head of the institution spoke about the measures provided at the Institute of Geography in accordance with the action plan of the Presidium of ANAS.

Then, in connection with the announcement of 2022 as the “Year of Shusha”, the Director noted that scientists and specialists of the institute undertook to prepare an album-map of Shusha by the end of this year, as well as a section of geography for the “Encyclopedia of the Shusha Territory”. He also informed about the preparations for scientific conferences this year.

 Relevant decisions were made after discussing the issues on the agenda.
