A monograph by the leading researcher of the Department of Land Hydrology and Water Resources of the Institute of Geography, Doctor of Geographical Sciences Muhammad Abduev "Geographic patterns of hydrochemical properties of mountain rivers in Azerbaijan" was published.
The book is the first scientific work devoted to the hydrochemistry of the mountain rivers of Azerbaijan. The paper provides an assessment of the studied hydrochemical properties of rivers and stationary observations collected to date, analyzes the influence of physical and geographical factors on the formation of chemical flows, the degree of mineralization of river waters, and the runoff of macro- and microcomponents of rivers. The intensity of chemical denudation in river basins has been studied, the influence of anthropogenic factors on the hydrochemical regime of rivers has been determined, river waters have been classified by chemical composition, and the ecological safety of the republic's water supply has been assessed. The monograph is supplied with illustrative materials. The calculation results are given in the tables.
The book is intended for researchers, especially specialists in the field of geography, hydrology, hydrochemistry, doctoral students, dissertators, masters and bachelors, as well as the general public.
