On February22, a meeting of the Council of Young Specialists and Scientists of the Institute of Geography was held with students-interns of 4th course of the Faculty of Geography of BSU.

Chairwoman of SMUSS Samira Alekperova told the students about the activities of the Council. She noted that this practice in the IG will increase their interest in geography. She spoke about the 90th anniversary of acad. B.Budagov and about the role of the scientist in the development of geographical science in Azerbaijan.

Samir Velizade told about GIS systems and mapping.

At the end of this interesting meeting 3 students received the book on GIS as a gift.
