May 26, 2017, at the meeting of the Dissertation Council under the chairmanship of Academician Ramiz Mammadov, the defense of the thesis of Ayten Namazova for the degree of Doctor of Science was held, on the theme “Economic and geographical study of thermal and mineral water resources of the Major Caucasus”.

It was decided by secret ballot to apply to the HAC under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for conferring the degree of PhD in geography.
