
On June 19, 2026, a preliminary discussion of the dissertation entitled “Investigation of Wind and Wave Energy Potential in the Coastal Zone of the Azerbaijani Sector of the Caspian Sea” by Vusala Rasulzadeh, Junior Researcher of the Laboratory of Geography of the Caspian Sea and PhD candidate at the Institute of Geography of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held.
During the seminar, the applicant presented the main results of her scientific research. A broad exchange of views took place regarding the relevance, scientific novelty, and theoretical as well as practical significance of the dissertation. Participants expressed their opinions and recommendations concerning the research, and the author provided detailed answers to the questions raised during the discussion.
At the conclusion of the seminar, it was emphasized that the scientific level of the research was satisfactory, and it was considered appropriate to submit the dissertation to the next stage of evaluation.
According to the final decision, Vusala Rasulzadeh’s dissertation entitled “Investigation of Wind and Wave Energy Potential in the Coastal Zone of the Azerbaijani Sector of the Caspian Sea” was recommended for defense.
