
A regular scientific seminar was held at the Institute of Geography of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The seminar was chaired by Doctor of Geographical Sciences Nəriman Paşayev. Scientists, specialists, doctoral students, and young researchers of the Institute participated in the event.
During the seminar, Vüsalə Rəsulzadə, a junior researcher and doctoral student of the Institute’s “Geography of the Caspian Sea” laboratory, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the topic “The Impact of Climate Change on the Wind Regime of the Coastal Zone of the Azerbaijani Sector of the Caspian Sea.”
The presentation addressed the impact of global climate change on the wind regime observed in the coastal areas of the Caspian Sea, as well as the ecological and socio-economic consequences of these changes and the assessment of potential future risks.
Following the presentation, extensive discussions were held among the Institute’s scientists. Various scientific questions were addressed to the doctoral student, and recommendations were provided for further improvement of the research.
