On November 12, 2025, a landslide occurred in the village of Akhmedli, Khatai District, Baku, near the Ukrainian Circle. In addition to natural factors (severe slopes and the presence of clayey, impermeable horizons), the main causes of the landslide on the hillside include leaks from water and sewer lines, slope undercutting, and the construction of structures on the slope edge.

During visual observations conducted by Tarikhazer Staroy, Doctor of Geographical Sciences and Associate Professor at the H.Aliyev Institute of Geography, Azerbaijan Republic, new cracks were discovered on the slope.
