Young employees of the Institute of Geography named after acad. H. Aliyev of the MSEAR, took part in a scientific and practical field research on the occasion of the 102nd anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev organized by the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists.   

The purpose of the trip was to conduct scientific and practical field research on the territory of the National Historical and Artistic Monument "Gobustan" and the tourist complex "Mud Volcanoes".

The scientific secretary of the institute, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Saida Zeynalova, who took part in the event, spoke about the geomorphological features and landscape of the area, and the leading researcher, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Elina Kerimova gave the participants extensive information about the areas of distribution of mud volcanoes and their tourist significance for the region.
