Leading researcher of the Department of Demography and Geography of the Population of the Institute of Geography named after Academician G. Aliyev of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Philosophy Rovshan Kerimov was on a working visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands from March 20 to 31.
The scientist, who was visiting the Erasmus University of Rotterdam in The Hague, participated in meetings with the university staff. He gave a report on the topic of "Population Migration, Urbanization and Adaptation to Climate" at a seminar at the university dedicated to the problems of water resources in the coastal zones of the Caspian Sea, and acquainted the participants of the seminar with the results of his research.Kerimov gave a lecture to students on environmental migration. The events were organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ program by Farhad Mukhtarov, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management and Public Policy at Erasmus University Rotterdam and PhD in Environmental Protection, and Rovshan Abbasov, Head of the Environmental Research Center at Khazar University.
