A webinar was held at Nakhchivan State University with the participation of Professor Rza Mahmudov, head of the Soil and Water Resources Hydrology Department of the Institute of Geography named after Academician H.Aliyev.

The purpose of the meeting was to exchange views with R.Mahmudov on the results of COP-29, as well as on the impact of regional climate change on water resources in Azerbaijan.

At the meeting, organized with the faculty and student staff of the university, the geographer presented information on the declarations on water and the Caspian Sea adopted at COP-29 in Baku, and made an extensive report on the topic “The Impact of Regional Climate Change on Water Resources in Azerbaijan”. The participants received detailed answers to numerous questions regarding COP-29 and R.Mahmudov’s report. Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Agriculture of the University, Associate Professor Bakhruz Mamedov expressed gratitude to the professor for the informative meeting.
