Employees of the Institute of Geography named after academician H. Aliyev of the Ministry of Education of AR – Director General, Professor Zakir Eminov, Executive Director Zaur Imrani, Head of Department, PhD Said Safarov took part in the international scientific conference on the topic “Accelerating Research and Cooperation in Combating Climate Change”.

The main objective of the conference, organized by Baku State University within the framework of the Baku Week, is to present empirical data, artificial intelligence and advanced analytical tools in the field of climate action related to the study of climate change in scientific and practical aspects, the impact of climate change on transboundary water management and other new developments in this area; an exchange of approaches and experiences took place. The conference noted that international cooperation is one of the important factors in the fight against climate change. This requires intercountry coordinated actions that will allow joint initiatives to be more effective.
