Modern climate change leads to an increase in the temperature of the Earth's surface, a decrease in water resources, degradation of soil and vegetation cover, changes in the structure of the territory and economic areas. Climate change, accompanied by global warming, leads to the loss of traditional sources, which requires economic, social, environmental and scientific measures to raise awareness at the international level. To this end, taking into account the participation of Azerbaijan in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the Institute of Geography organizes the III International Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern Problems of Geography: Integration of Science and Education", which is scheduled to be held on October 29, 2024.
