A scientific article was published in the highly rated journal “Advanced Remote Sensing” of the University of Mersin, Turkey by Ismail Zeynalov, PhD on Technical Sciences, leading researcher at the Caspian Sea Monitoring Department , together with researcher Rana Akhmedova, researcher Aibeniz Akhmedova and researcher at the Department of Soil Geography Almaz Rustamova.
The authors of the article “Analysis of Caspian Sea Surface Temperature (SST) from NOAA Satellites” (Analysis of Caspian Sea Surface Temperature from NOAA Satellites) use modern available methods and tools to determine surface waters temperature of the Caspian Sea, NOAA satellites and conducted scientific research based on data obtained by the AVHRR Pathfinder instrument (high-resolution radiometer) installed on them. The researchers investigated identifying underlying patterns in the atmosphere-sea system through annual averages of change over long periods of time.
