A meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute of Geography named after academician H.A. Aliyev was held under the chairmanship of the General Director, Doctor of Geographical Sciences Zakir Eminov

After briefing the members of the Council on the agenda, the Director General raised some issues arising from the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated July 28, 2022 “On some measures related to the improvement of management in the field of science and education in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, and also gave recommendations on attendance and labor discipline.

Then, in accordance with the decision of the Presidium of ANAS dated January 12, 2021 on the development of Karabakh, following issues were discussed: the state of preparation of the monograph- album "Assessment of the damage caused by environmental genocide", the book about Shusha, which will be published before the end of the year, conferences scheduled for October- November, preparation for graduate school and dissertations of the institute for 2023 for doctors of philosophy and sciences and other.
