Within the framework of cooperation between the Institute of Geography named after acad. H.Aliyev and the department of Geology of the Austrian University of Montana, a group of students and teachers of the above-mentioned educational institution visited our country and on April 7 participated in a field expedition to inspect the territory of future research.

Together with the guests, research workers of the Paleogeography Department Abdullayev Elshan and Aghayeva Vusala, students of BSU and Azerbaijan Oil Academy and Industrial University Alesker Aleskerov, Zaur Bayramov inspected the areas of old sediments of the low and middle Miocene Islamdagh, on the territory of Shemakha-Gobustan. They examined these places and selected the right sections for future joint cooperation.
